Nice to meet you Mark!
Thank you for expressing your interest in this opportunity! We are very happy to have you, and would like to offer you a position as a multi-media session speaker on Wednesday, October 22nd from 11:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. covering Digital Storytelling.
Your role with encompass the impact and design of Digital PR and Advertising Storytelling. From video commercials, content marketing, social media ads, influencer marketing, to billboards and sponsorships, advertising and public relations messages are everywhere. This session is designed to help students understand the marketplace of attention and create effective narratives of their own! You will allow students to be exposed to higher level thinking as media consumers and producers.
If you’re interested in facilitating any student workshops, we believe your skills would be of value to students during small activities that will include analyzing commercials, personifying a brand, symbolic concept thumbnail designs, and a photography scavenger hunt.
Working in teams of 4-5, students will develop a creative campaign for a client. This will include a variety of tasks:
- Analyze significant stakeholders and develop a strategy of communication
- Research the client and develop a campaign plan including goals and measurable objectives, key messaging, content mapping, and a distribution plan
- Design strategic creative messaging including a slogan, colors, themes, and content and engagement plan
- Produce several content pieces related to the campaign: A social ad campaign for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and TikTok, a video commercial, and a sharable press release
Please let me know if you’re interested in participating as a mentor during these in these activities as part of your session topic.
We look forward to collaborating with you during our event and are excited to learn from your experiential wisdom!

Olivia Hermann
