Outreach: Sustainable Fashion Club Collaboration

Subject: Collaboration Opportunity: Professional Headshot Booth x Sustainable Fashion Club

Dear Cal Poly Sustainable Fashion Club,

My name is Olivia Hermann, and I’m reaching out from the Journalism Department to explore an exciting opportunity for collaboration between our upcoming Professional Headshot Booth—part of this year’s Mustang Media Fest, happening October 22–23, and the Cal Poly Sustainable Fashion Club.

We’re organizing a pop-up event designed to help students capture high-quality headshots they can use on LinkedIn and resumes—an important step in preparing for internships, job applications, and professional networking. To make this opportunity as inclusive and accessible as possible, we’re hoping to feature a “Professional Closet” pop-up at the booth, where students can borrow business-appropriate clothing (such as blazers, button-ups, and blouses) for their photos.

We immediately thought of your club as an ideal partner for this initiative. Your commitment to sustainable fashion aligns with our goal of reducing barriers to student success while promoting mindful and resourceful practices. If you’re interested, we’d love for your team to help us curate and manage the clothing closet during the event.

Not only would this be a great way to highlight sustainable alternatives to fast fashion in professional settings, but it also creates a meaningful opportunity for students who might not have access to business attire.
